A good jacket only does half the job. The BMW Paceguard trousers are the other half — waterproof, armoured and built to zip straight onto the BMW Paceguard Adventure jacket. For a returning rider, that matched-set feel makes gearing up simple.

Pros & Cons
What's Good
Three-layer waterproof, breathable and stretchy fabric that keeps rain out without feeling stiff.
Adjustable waist and ankles for a snug fit, plus long thigh vents you can open on warm days.
A connection zip to the Paceguard Tour and Adventure jackets, so the pair works as one set.
What's Not
BMW pricing — they cost noticeably more than plenty of equally capable trousers from other brands but have reduced in price considerably.
It's still a three-layer waterproof garment, so expect it to run warm in high summer even with the vents open.
The zip connection only pays off if you already own a compatible Paceguard jacket.
VERDICT
8 / 10
Well built, properly protective and easy to live with, especially alongside the Paceguard jacket. You're paying a BMW premium, but if you want one waterproof, armoured set for year-round riding, it's a strong choice.
Try them on with your riding boots and jacket together — the waist and ankle adjusters make a real difference to fit. More on what to buy first in our motorcycle kit guide for returning riders.
